Blog #1, Fall 2025

First week of class! 

So great to be back in the studio! This week was hectic as hell. I think getting used to the schedule of being back in class as well as working two jobs full time has been a big adjustment. I didn’t get as much physical work done as I would have liked but I didn’t get a big batch of clay mixed and began researching different historical vessel shapes. I made a little plaster mold of Mia's necklace over the summer and was able to get the first cast out of it and I think it turned out great. I would like to incorporate more handmade stamps and texture adding things being either plaster of bisque stamps. I worked on my semester plan and went on some walks when I had time. Had a great wood firing over the summer which was a blast! Makes me eager for more firings to come.
