Blog #3, Spring 2026

I was driven back to Louisville on Monday, which was a little dicey because of all the ice and snow on the roads. I had missed teaching the first class of my six-week course, so I wanted to make it back to meet my students and get started, etc. I was back to normal after the injections for the most part. Luckily, we didn't have class on Monday due to the snow, so I didn't have to miss anything else. I was able to get back into the studio on Wednesday and made my paddle and some smaller wooden tools. We still didn’t have class due to the snow, but was happy to be back and get a little something done. I ended up quitting my job due to my back and to just take some time to heal. I got back in the studio feeling better each day and was able to start the base of two new pieces. Mia and I did some furniture shopping, and we went antiquing, which was really fun. I am trying to give myself time and not push too hard right now, which is hard for me.
