Blog #15, Fall 2025

The semester is winding down. This is our last 2 weeks of class since we don’t have finals. I spent Tuesday moving my work as well as pedestals into the space lab for our group show. I got to really take some time to sit with my pieces that came out of the wood. This work has been feeling like make or break for my portfolio, and I am happy to say I am really happy with the work that came out of it. After getting the lighting and positions of the pieces right, I projected the title of our show on the wall and traced it up there so we could paint it. Thursday, we had our group’s crit, and I think it went pretty well. I am really excited about this body of work. We had a small opening afterwards, and I headed home afterward. We had studio cleanup that week, and after the show, I photographed all of my new work. I painted over our show title and got the spacelab ready for next week’s crit.
